My friend, John Bindernagel, passed on January 18, 2018. At life’s end he didn’t feel his work was complete. He was still working in his last days from his bed. He had felt called to be a wildlife biologist and blessed to be in the right place at the right time to work on sasquatch research and advocacy. He wanted the story of the on-going sasquatch discovery claim to be on record. I undertook to do this in Sasquatch Discovered: The Biography of Dr. John Bindernagel, with his blessing.
John was the media go-to guy for questions on sasquatch. He wrote two seminal books: North America’s Great Ape: The Sasquatch (1998) and The Discovery of the Sasquatch: Reconciling, Culture, History and Science in the Discovery Process (2010). Both were self-published under Beachcomber Books. Readers interested in sasquatch are encouraged to visit John’s website, which is being kept live by his son, at:sasquatchbiologist.org. His research videos are available on the website or at https://www.youtube.com/@johnbindernagel30.
